1986 k20 chevy temperature problems...Posted by Dennis Minn on February 07, 2004 at 16:50:21 from (205.153.56.10):
I've got this truck recently, and it was running hot, or it appeared to. I took a laser temperature gun and measured the t-stat housing and got 188 F when the gauge was reading 210 plus. My question is what resistance is the proper resistance for the temperature sender. I couldn't find any numbers to identify the original sender. By the way, it's a 350 with 700 tranny, AC, cruise, carburetor ( fuel system reworked before me getting the truck). Thanks for any replies, Dennis.
