Changing Mechanical brakes over to Hydraulic brake

Has anybody had any experience at this. I have a 1926 IHC Model S-26 1 1/4 Ton pickup with mechanical brakes on rear wheels only. Under AACA rules upgrades on Antique vehicles is allowed for safety. I know a few collectors that have performed the change on pre-1920 cars, but I don't know of anyone who has made the switch on a truck. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, with only brakes on the rear end even at 30 miles an hour stopping can be a breathe taking experience.
