E4OD Transmission problem

Help! The transmission is in a 1992 Ford F-150 with a 4.9 engine. It will not shift through the gears when slecter is placed in drive. Feels like it is taking off in 2nd or 3rd. No kick down. Works fine shifting through manualy. Reverse works ok. Thanks!
