!! boy did i get burned !!Posted by Rick on July 11, 2003 at 20:03:04 from (66.66.245.168):
I bought a 1963 C750 ford, That the dealer said was ready to go, had all new brakes and a fresh tune up. So much for trust. All the brakes were rusted and shot $ 850.00 to fix, Painted up the outside tires, All weather cracked, cost $1200.00 to replace 6 of them, Even the lights were shot, the points were burned , fuel pump was on its last leg .I have done all the work myself except the mounting of the tires. It has taken over 3 weeks of solid work to get this up to par. I am going to paint it this week because that is the only thing that has not needed repairing or replacing. When i went back to the dealer , his words were what did you want for a 63. If you are going to get into a truck like this, look it over good. That good deal might be a night mare. For the record it is up and running and it was worth the time, I now have my 63.
