79 Chevy Blazer Body Question

I recently aquired a 79 blazer K-5 cheyenne,as everyone knows the body is rusted almost to the point it's not worth fixing. My question is can a shortbed pick up body be put on a blazer frame? How much modifying would have to be done if indeed it can be done. Also does anyone know if someone makes a fiberglass body for the same I know they do for jeeps.
