Truck framePosted by Bernie on April 05, 2003 at 17:35:17 from (64.24.245.99):
The frame on my '86 ford 150 4x4 is rotted. I'm going to build a new one using 6" channel. I know I can do this because I built one for a '83 Toyota and it works fine. Mine still runs and I use it so I don't want to tear it apart to use it's frame for a pattern. This is not a weekend project. The junkyard wants $300 for a frame; I don't expect they would buy it back when I'm done with it, so I'm wondering if it might be possible to get a frame blueprint from Ford Motor Co. Who would I contact? TIA
