Truck engine cams vs Car engine cams

I'm tossing around maybe doing some performance stuff to my 74 F100 302. ---A thought just came up in some of my discussions with guys. Is their a different cam in a OE truck engine than in a OE car engine??? -Remember, we're talking about back in 1974.
