79 jeep cherokeePosted by Mike in Ohio on September 23, 2007 at 19:23:11 from (24.164.113.36):
We were trying to hook up a trailer plug on dad's jeep (the wobbly old jeep as my 5 year old daughter calls it). It seems that the plug mount rusted off so someone just snipped off the wires and let them hang. With a multitester and some trial and error we identified each of the wires hanging, but somewhere along the line we screwed up the brake lights. The chiltons manual says there is a circuit breaker but the cover for the fuse box is gone and we cannot locate it, can any of you guys help? Also the trailer wiring has a flat 4 wire plug, the brake lights and turn signals use the same wires, but the jeep has a separate wire for the brake lights. How do I make this work? Thanks alot Mike
