Ford Guys--Opinion needed.Posted by Buck in WV on September 18, 2007 at 15:54:08 from (204.111.35.161): After you guys stop laughing over this one, how about giving me your opinion. :::::-- 74 F100 302 ---- Pulled Engine, done bottom end and clutch, and reinstalled the engine. ------When I went to pick up the starter to put it back on I seen that thin "back plate" that goes on the back of the engine BEFORE the Flywheel sitting by my bench!!!! - Now I've had vehicles where this plate only covered the bottom 1/2 to keep street dirt out of the clutch area. This one is the full plate. So here's my plan:: I'm going to cut that plate in half and just install the bottom half. --Does anyone see any problem with this?? I'll just sit here and drink beer till you let me know! Thanks!
