It's been done. I've got a '52 I'm planning to install an AMC 360 in...may start with a Torqueflite auto, but eventually I want to go with an overdrive tranny--and a couple of companies make AMC-to-700R4 adapters, but they're kinda pricey {$350, for no more than what you get...JMHO).

Try the folks at www.oldihc.org first...Wildman Bill has a template for installing disc brakes onto the stock front hubs-and-bearings...and I believe he's got a smallblock and rack-and-pinion in his K-series International, so he might be some good help. And there are plenty of others who'll offer advice, opinions, and good information as well.

Good luck with your Binder...and keep us posted!
