Known Problems Late 80's-Early 90's Ford F-350's?

I have a choice of the following two Ford trucks.

1988 Ford F-350 XLT Dually,2 WD,Crew Cab 4 Door,Tow
Package,Newer Tires/Brakes,Camper Shell,460,5 Speed OD
Tranny,In Great Shape,$4000 OBO

I talked the owners and they say its in excellent shape inside and
out and will go anywhere.It has 190,000 hwy miles in warm
weather pulling a 37 ft enclosed race car trailer.The heads were
reworked at 150,000 miles.It Gets 10 MPG pulling their trailer.

1991 Ford F-350 Ext Cab,2 WD,Dual Wheels,7.3 Diesel,5
Speed,AC,Tilt,Cruise,Gooseneck Ball,Nice Truck. $4995

I've been playing phone tag with the owner.I'm sure that its a
high mile truck.A high mile 7.3 scares me.

What experiences have some of you had with F-350's?None of
my friends ever owned one so I dont know much about them.

I was also offered a 1993 Chev 3500 Ext Cab Dually 4WD,454
V-8 With $2800 Rebuild 30,000 Miles Ago,5 Speed With New
Clutch and Pressure Plate,Has 171,000 Miles,New Fuel
Pump,Chrome Grill Guard,Running Boards,Bed Liner,New Front
Tires.$6000

The owner says the truck is way above average but does need
rear tires.He got 7.5 mpg pulling a cattle trailer in the hills at
60-65 mph.

I will just be pulling a 25 ft gooseneck on the hiway in the warm
months so really dont need 4WD.My limit is $6,000.
