1985 chev. k-10 blowr motor circuit problemsPosted by Ken Weber on January 13, 2007 at 15:27:27 from (67.141.102.154):
My son has a 1985 k-10. His blower motor quit running. Can anyone explain to me how the switch, relay/resistor and motor are supposed to operate? Does the switch adjust the current to the motor or does the relay/resistor? Does the switch ground the relay or does the switch send current to the necessary terminal on the relay/resistor? Also, what is the correct name for the device that feeds the motor? One wiring diagram I did find calls it a resistor but the parts store calls it a relay. We do know the blower motor is good but we can't figure out how the switch and relay are supposed to work, the wiring diagram we have doesn,t show enough to help. Thanks
