Changing Positive to Negative Ground on 56 GMC 450Posted by Sandy on October 16, 2006 at 18:58:22 from (206.231.153.162): Hello! We're working on the restoration of a 1956 GMC 450 and would like to convert from Positive (+) Ground to Negative (-) Ground. So far, we know that we need to: A- Switch the wires on the coil. B- Remove the residual charge in the Generator by touching a jumper wire from the Positive Battery terminal to the Field contact on the Voltage Regulator. C- Switch Battery Cables. D- .....here's where we need your help!!! We 'think' that we'll need to go through the dash and switch guage wires, swap sender wires, etc.. But since we're now at the point of guessing and we know that we haven't done all we need to do, could someone please give us a simple 'shopping list' to go by? Thank You for your time and efforts to help us with this project!!!!! Sandy
