Looking for a power steering box/pump for my '61 I

Posted by Doug on October 16, 2006 at 16:23:48 from (70.41.161.2):

Good day!

I have a 1961 International BC 176 4x4 (awd dually 20 inch
wheels, 18K GVW) that was an old fire truck. Only 5900
miles but NO power steering... uggg.

Does anyone have any info on how I would go about
swapping in power steering, what to look for, where to get
a box and pump?

There are some junk yards around but so far in not really
knowing just what to look for i have only found steering
boxes that mount to the outside of the frame, mine's inside
with the arm on the outside pointed straight down when
the wheels are centered.

I have a pump but it doesn't seem to fit my engine. Mine is
a 345 Gas motor with the hard steel cooling lines going to
the front of each head.

Anyone that has ANY info would be very very appreciated,
or if you have one for sale please email me!

Thanks so much for the help, Doug.
