Just recently my engine threw a connecting rod out the engine block and I became very sickend about all my work down the drain. So I was wondering if I get an engine out of some 80's or 90's clunker could I use that transmission and would it be alright being automatic?I know no matter what it's going to invlove some good old fabrication. The clunker is probably going to be a 1987 ford f-150 automatic

-thanks in advance
