Just picked up a 62 Mercury 1/2 ton and the body and cab is in perfect condition. The drive train is something else and was wondering on the basic's of looking for a newer truck and using the frame and running gear out of it and put the 62 body parts on top. I have updated a 66 frame with 73 parts like disc brakes and such. I figured the new frame with a twin I beam front would be a better daily driver . It would be set up to run only in the summer time. Any thoughts on that and any idea on what would work easily for a frame.
