I have been wanting to replace the motor in a 79 GMC 1 ton i have, and i wanted to change out of the brand for motor too, i want to put a 392 IHC in it, i found one in a 5 ton truck with a 5 speed, i get the whole truck for a realistic price, does anyone have any advice on this? has it been done? taking a motor with mounts on the front of the block and put it in a side mount frame? any advice will be well apriciated. thanks.
