I forgot to address the starter switch. Take out the 2 screws and see what the copper contacts look like. You can get a new switch at a good parts store, or order on line. The copper bolt head is another matter. If it isn't grooved too badly where the switch contacts it, clean it up with flint paper and put it together again. If it is burned or pitted too badly, you'll have to take it to an automotive electric shop that specializes in rebuilding. They can replace the contact for you. Good luck!
