DB is right on with the engine possibilities. Your "overdrive cable" has me intrigued. Where does this cable go? Is it the same diamater as your choke and throttle, or is it a much larger and heavier cable? Does it go to a large bump of cast iron on the side of the transmission? If so, that's a power takeoff. Look at the differential - a two-speed is quite obvious, and could either be manual or vacuum shift.
