Hard starting propane enginePosted by grabatire on December 22, 2005 at 19:11:59 from (216.95.83.214):
I have a 1967 Ford C700 with a 391 CID engine on LPG. After it has sat for a day or two it takes a truck load of fresh batteries to crank it long enough to start. Cold weather makes it worse of course. When it finally does fire, it starts, no hesitation, and runs great from there on. It is strictly LPG, not dual fuel, and is equiped with an IMPCO lock-off, converter and carb. When it was first converted to LPG it started a bit tough too after sitting for several days but now it's darn near rediculous. Can one of you help or direct me to where I can get some?
