1985 gmc K3500

hello , I have a 85 K3500 ( duallie) I was wondering how big of a job it would be to replace the front rotors ( are they knock off's ) , and what about replacing the u-joints ( diff cover off , axle tubes out , U & L ball joints off , ect ? I also have a 87 K 2500 , that is running like crap , clogged cat do that ?
