79 Chevy broken spring

Have a cracked leaf in the rear spring of my 79 Chevy 4X4. Am going to change it. Is it necessary to replace the U bolts too if they look OK? Also, should I mark the axle for reassembly so it is lined up? I was thinking of a 4 wheel alignment if it is off the mark some. Thanks.
